FAQs
Why is trucking so important in asphalt?
From the moment asphalt is manufactured (mixed) it begins to cool; asphalt cartage is a critical element of getting the asphalt material to site on time and at temperature. Nexpave transport our asphalt material via our insulated semi walking floor trailers to maximise the heat and deliver the best quality product to our sites.
How much material is on the trucks?
Nexpave’s semi walking floor truck and trailers cart up to 25.5 tonne of material on every trip and up to 5 trips per day depending on the distance from the manufacturing plant.
What are walking floors?
Walking floor bodied trucks and trailers instead of tipping, these use a conveyor belt at the bottom of the bed to pull the asphalt out the back. This eliminates the risk of hitting overhead power lines or bridges and prevents "mix segregation".
