Precision Preparation for Long-Lasting Surfaces

Nexpave provides expert road and pavement profiling services that ensure every resurfacing or reconstruction project starts with the right foundation. By removing existing layers with accuracy and control, our profiling process creates an even surface for new asphalt or bitumen works, extending the life and quality of the finished surface. New asphalt or bitumen includes new layers of road pavement including civil quarry products, asphalt or spray sealed surfaces.

Why Road and Pavement Profiling Matters

Profiling is an essential step in delivering durable, safe, and cost-effective pavements. It allows for the correct levels, smooth transitions, and optimal bonding between old and new materials. Without proper profiling, resurfacing projects can face premature wear, poor drainage, and uneven finishes and possible lamination or road surface separation.

Partner With Nexpave

With advanced machinery and experienced operators, Nexpave delivers road and pavement profiling that sets the stage for durable and efficient resurfacing works. Whether preparing for asphalt, bitumen, or large-scale civil construction, our precision ensures your project achieves long-lasting results.

FAQs

What is a road profiler?

A road profiler is the machine that cuts the road surface, it is the machine that looks like and elephant, its job is to chew up the road surface to millimetre accuracy to allow for road re surfacing, road repair, road construction.

How accurate are road profilers when cutting?

Road profilers use state of the art hydraulic controlled leveling systems to cut down to the millimetre. The road profilers your see on your local roads can cut from 1mm to 300mm in a single pass.

A road profiler can cut and fill a truck in under 5 minutes, with up to 1300 tonne an hour at full depth.

What happens to the road material after being profiled or cut out?

Road and asphalt surfaces are 100% recycled.

  • Asphalt and bitumen surfaces, once the existing asphalt is cut off the road it is sent to the manufacturing plant to be further crushed then included in new asphalt mixes as recycled asphalt product or RAP. Once the bitumen is in the road it is never wasted, it can re reused over and over as a component of the new road surface.
  • Road pavements (gravels), once profiled or cut are reused in new gravel pavements, on gravel roads and into RAP for new road surfaces.
Why is "Road Profiling" necessary before paving?

Road profiling (or milling) removes the old, uneven top layer of a road without disturbing the foundation. This ensures your new surface is perfectly level, promotes proper drainage, and prevents "lip" hazards at doorways or kerbs.
